What a $50 ad spend per Facebook Live Shopping session teaches us

How The Moxie Shop, a plus-size boutique in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, used $50 Meta video ads tied to each live show to reach thousands of shoppers and send a steady flow of them to the Shopify storefront.

September 2026

A $50 video ad tied to each live show reached thousands of shoppers and sent a steady flow of them to the store. This customer case shows how The Moxie Shop set it up, what came back, and how other boutiques can try the same approach.

The customer

The Moxie Shop is a plus-size boutique in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, "created by a curvy girl, for curvy girls." It carries sizes XL to 3X, with brands such as Judy Blue Jeans, Risen Jeans, Corky's, Easel, Entro, Zenana and TOVA Jewelry. New arrivals and live sales go out every week through LiveMeUp on their Shopify store.

The goal

Every boutique is fighting for the same thing: new customers, at a cost that makes sense. The Moxie Shop already sold live each week. The question was what a small, fixed ad budget could do for each show.

What we did

For four lives in September 2026, each live got its own Meta video ad, running for the length of the show. The standard budget was $50 per live, with one live at $100. Three ads used the Sales objective and one used Engagement, so we could compare them side by side.

The results

Each $50 Sales ad put a live in front of thousands of shoppers on Facebook and Instagram and drove a steady flow of clicks to the store.
A $100 ad reached about twice as many shoppers at a similar cost per click.
The Engagement ad reached the most people and collected plenty of video views, but far fewer clicks.

What we learned

Choose the Sales objective when the goal is store visits
It brought noticeably more clicks per dollar than Engagement.
$50 is enough to learn from
Doubling the budget scaled reach and clicks at a similar cost per click, so starting at $50 keeps the spend small while you find what works for your audience.
Give every live its own ad
The ad runs for the length of the show, so the shoppers it reaches can join in real time, and each live has a clear, capped cost that is easy to compare week to week.

How to try it

1Set $50 per live and choose the Sales objective.
2Let the ad run while the live is on.
3Give the live a clear hook, like a sale or a new drop, so every click has something to land on.
4Review impressions, reach and clicks after the live; Meta's numbers keep updating for a few hours.
5Keep what worked, change one thing, and repeat on the next live.
