LiveMeUp vs SoldLive

Shop-in-stream, Live Video Ads and replays for Shopify.

Both are Shopify apps for selling live on Facebook, and both send every order through your own Shopify checkout. Both sync your Shopify inventory, and neither takes a commission on your sales.

The core difference

They're built for different stages. SoldLive suits small boutiques that sell mainly through Facebook lives to the followers they already have, with Shopify used mostly for checkout and inventory. LiveMeUp is for boutiques and brands that want lives to grow the business: new shoppers from Meta Live Video Ads, plus selling on their own website, product pages and branded app.

What Both Platforms Do

Both are Shopify apps for selling live on Facebook, and both send every order through your own Shopify checkout. Both sync your Shopify inventory, and neither takes a commission on your sales.

Where They Differ

1. Who sees your live.

SoldLive sells to the people who already follow you: viewers of your Facebook live, plus your SMS list on higher plans. LiveMeUp is one of five Meta Live Video Ads partners in the US, and the only Shopify-native one. With LiveMeUp, you can promote your live with Live Video Ads to reach new shoppers on Facebook while you're live, so every show can grow your audience instead of only selling to the people you already have.

2. How viewers buy.

SoldLive is built on comment-to-buy. Viewers comment a keyword on your Facebook live, and SoldLive sends a checkout link in Messenger. With LiveMeUp, viewers tap the pinned product and check out inside the Facebook live (shop-in-stream, official Meta Tech Partner). There's nothing to comment, no invoice and no DM.

3. What happens after the live.

When a SoldLive live ends, the selling ends with it. There's no shoppable replay, nothing on your website and nothing on your product pages. A LiveMeUp live also plays on your Shopify website as it happens. Afterwards it becomes a shoppable replay, and the clips show on the matching product pages, so every show keeps selling.

4. Your own app.

LiveMeUp builds and publishes your branded iOS and Android app, with live shopping and push alerts inside it. SoldLive has no customer app: its iPhone and Android apps are only for the seller, to run the on-screen overlay during a live.

5. Price.

SoldLive charges a flat monthly price set by how many live-sale orders you take, from $35 for 35 orders up to $3,000 for unlimited. LiveMeUp charges a flat monthly price set by streaming hours, not orders: Grow is $89/month, and Facebook shop-in-stream is an add-on from $59/month. Neither takes a percentage of sales.

What Each Costs as Your Live Sales Grow

SoldLive's price goes up with your order count. LiveMeUp's price doesn't.

Live-sale orders per monthSoldLive plan (from soldlive.ai)LiveMeUp Grow + Facebook add-on
75$75 (Cart Holds)$148

300$300 (SMS)$148
600$600 (Premier)$148
1,500$1,500 (Summit)$148

LiveMeUp Grow includes 4 streaming hours a month, and Scale ($249/month) includes 12. If you go live more often, size your LiveMeUp plan by hours; your number of orders never changes the price.

Which One Should You Pick?

Pick by whether your live has to grow your audience or only sell to it.

  • Choose SoldLive if you're a small boutique that sells mainly through Facebook lives to the followers you already have, your Shopify website plays a small part in your sales, your audience is used to typing "SOLD 101" in the comments, and your monthly order count fits a SoldLive tier.
  • Choose LiveMeUp if you've outgrown selling only to your Facebook followers: you want each live to bring in new shoppers through Meta Live Video Ads, sell inside Facebook without comments or DMs, and keep selling afterwards on your website, your product pages and your own app, at a price that doesn't climb with your order count.
  • Already on SoldLive? Look at how many of your live buyers are new customers. If it's almost none, your lives are selling to the same audience every time. Live Video Ads and replays on your site are how LiveMeUp widens that.

Switching from SoldLive

Your products, orders and customers are already in Shopify, so there's nothing to migrate.

  1. Install LiveMeUp from the Shopify App Store. Your catalog syncs automatically.
  2. Connect your Facebook Page with the Facebook add-on, so your live plays inside Facebook with shop-in-stream checkout and can be promoted with Live Video Ads.
  3. Add the live player to your website. A /live page, a mini player and product-page widgets let shoppers watch live and buy from replays.
  4. Add your branded app (optional). LiveMeUp designs it and publishes it to the App Store and Google Play.
  5. Go live. One stream reaches Facebook, your website and your app together, then keeps selling as a replay.

FAQ

Is LiveMeUp a SoldLive alternative?

Yes, especially for boutiques that are growing beyond Facebook. SoldLive is mostly used by small boutiques that sell through Facebook lives to their existing followers, with comments turned into Messenger checkout links. LiveMeUp sells inside the Facebook live with shop-in-stream checkout, can promote your live to new shoppers with Meta Live Video Ads, and streams the same live to your Shopify website and branded app, with shoppable replays afterwards.

Can I reach new shoppers with my live?

With LiveMeUp, yes. LiveMeUp is one of five Meta Live Video Ads partners in the US, and the only Shopify-native one, so you can run Live Video Ads that put your live in front of new shoppers on Facebook while you're live. SoldLive sells to the people already watching your page and to your SMS list.

Does LiveMeUp do comment-to-buy?

No, by design. With LiveMeUp, viewers tap the pinned product and check out inside the Facebook live, on your website or in your app. If your customers specifically want to claim items by commenting, SoldLive is built for that.

Does SoldLive have replays?

No. A SoldLive live sells only while it's on Facebook. With LiveMeUp, every live becomes a shoppable replay on your website, and clips appear on the matching product pages, kept as long as you're on a paid plan.

Can my live play on my Shopify website?

With LiveMeUp, yes: the same live plays on Facebook, on your website and in your app. SoldLive lives happen on Facebook only.

Does SoldLive give my customers a mobile app?

No. SoldLive's iOS and Android apps are for the seller: they show product overlays and scan barcodes during the live. LiveMeUp builds and publishes your own branded iOS and Android app with live shopping inside.

How much does SoldLive cost compared with LiveMeUp?

SoldLive charges by live-sale orders: $35/month for 35 orders, $150 for 150, $600 for 600, up to $3,000 for unlimited. LiveMeUp charges by streaming hours: free plan, $89/month (Grow) or $249/month (Scale), plus the Facebook add-on from $59/month. Neither takes a commission. At 600 live orders a month, SoldLive's plan is $600, while LiveMeUp Grow with Facebook is $148.

Do both use my Shopify checkout?

Yes. Orders from both apps go through your Shopify checkout, so payments, inventory and customer records stay in Shopify.

Grow Your Live Audience, Not Just Your Comment Count

Reach new shoppers with Meta Live Video Ads, let them buy inside the Facebook live, and keep selling afterwards on your website, your product pages and your own app, at a flat price that doesn't grow with your orders.
